Week 4; DANCING WITH THE JAPANESE + THAI FOOD!.

WAEYO!.
Spent quite a bit of Week 4 just chilling at home.
I'm typing this in Week 6 and I'm very sure it is now safe to say that it is unhealthy for me to stay at home this much.
I think I practically eat more than my brother does these days.
It's so bad. :(

Alright, enough about me and my problems with nom-ing.
Did a couple of things this week which made me quite happy. ^^
Had a small event/workshop thingie with a group of Japanese Students on an exchange program with the school.
Went with this group of lovely people (plus Sam who left early). ^^
Aisha, John & Jacinda.
We were invited to sit in for the Japanese group's performance/showcase on their culture..
But we had no idea that they were going to do a dance,
and that we actually had to learn and do it with them. :')
We were told to mingle around with them as we walked into the room,
but I just found it rather difficult, considering the fact that I am a rather reserved person who is always less likely to initiate conversations AND the fact there's a language barrier..?
But they were really, so friendly and just came up to us. :')
There were moments where we just went O.O and then kind of panic because we didn't really understand..
But 'twas all good!
It was also really enjoyable learning and dancing to one of their Japanese songs (JPOP, right?). ^^
They introduced the song and demonstrated it to us, saying "It's fun...and also very cute! ^^"
They were also super duper helpful and friendly throughout, making sure we weren't lost and pathetic. :'D
Here's the song, if you want to learn how to dance to it as well hahaha.
It's a really fun song! ^^
It actually makes me really happy when I listen to it, not sure why. :/
Anyway, it was then our turn to let them know about Deaf Culture in Singapore and teach them some alphabet and things!
In my experience (which isn't much at all, actually),
there's something about interacting, learning and teaching students from other countries..
They are so different from us;
so much more enthusiastic and willing to learn;
the look on their faces as they learn something new, their willingness to volunteer and take part in the activities planned for them..
It's rare to see that around here.
One of them even signed "I love you" to us as he was leaving the room after the session.
I love these kind of sessions, although it's so short.
Thank you for reminding me why I enjoy doing the things that I always seem to land myself into.
I really do hope I will keep up my keenness in teaching as well as teaching as much as you lot do.
GANBATTE!. ^^ :)

Headed out with the Mum, Grandma & Broskii to lunch together later that week too.
Always a challenge just to get a selfie.
Weeeee~
Hehe, my Grandma is so cute. ^^
Been a while since I stepped foot into Nex.
Went to Bali Thai and ordered quite a bit of nomnomz.
Grilled Squid, Hotplate Beancurd, Seafood TomYum, Mango Salad..
White Rice, Thai Iced Tea, Mango (and Durian) Sticky Rice..
Yumz.
(Excuse le broskii's face there.)
Quite obvious that I was really pleased with the food. ~.~
Had a mini pun-off with le bro,
so these are the kind of things you'll hear if you sit with The Saids;
It mussel been hard to cook all these.
It's so hard to cuttlefish.
It's squid nice though.
Ya, it's quite tomyum-my.
Lettuce have our desserts now.
Let's chilli after this.
:'D
I love a good punny conversation. :')
Went into the interesting gift shop which sells many cute things and bro decided to get a mood ring. :'D
(Not sure what's gotten into him ahahah.)
So basically, the ring changes colour according to your emotions/mood.
He started wearing it and it remained green the whole time.
He also tried quite hard to change the colour by "controlling/changing" his mood, yet nothing happened. :'D
However, the moment he lent it to me (because I wanted to try it),
it changed into this purplish colour.
HA, take that. ~.~
Forgot what purple meant, though.
At one point later on, it also changed to a colour where it meant that he "is in love" when he wore it. :'D
"Do not deny the mood ring."
Ahahahahahah okay too much fun about a mood ring. :/ :x
We ended up landing ourselves in Cotton On as our last stop after rounding the mall (which was quite a big outlet here).
I have a love-hate relationship with Cotton On,
I actually quite like some of their stuff (especially if they're on sale) ((especially, especially if their basics are on sale)), so you'll find that I have quite a bit of their stuff on me all the time. :')
Anyways, picked some stuff out for the bro because he wanted some new stuff.
Must say it was pretty fun, because he's always in basics.
(Well, I am too, but that's not the point.)
And then suddenly, I turned around and saw Mum just holding these three watermelon-related item and looking really excited hahaha. :'D
Oh, Mum, you're so cute and you know me too well. ^^
They are a mini beany-bolster, a make up/accessories hanger pouch thing and a case for glasses.
Did end up purchasing them, though.
'll show you what I filled the hanger pouch with if I do remember to do so.
Also, it was the case was quite handy since I just purchased my first pair of sunglasses that day too!
've never had a pair, ever, because I always feel that they do not sit on or compliment the shape of my face well at all.
But we'll see. ^^
So yes, that was quite a lovely day! :)

This week's cooking consists of a little cheat..
CP Honey Chikkin Wings (CP is the brand lol).
I love their Honey Wings, although I feel that sometimes it smells a little sour. :/
Left it in the foil because why not.
Pizza Tails cocktail sausages from Handwerker, which was a new find.
They even have halal veal sausages, mozzarella sausages etc..
These ones were Pizza flavored, as you can already probably tell :')
The bro really likes it too.
So yay for good halal stuff!! ^^
One of my attempts at a "healthier"dinner.
Lettuce wraps = Beef cooked with Hoisin Sauce + Corn. :)
Lastly, constructed (haha) some scones because the Mum wanted some. :>
Honestly think that this was one of the better batches I've made so far!
Probably thanks to the recipe. ^^ :)

We're almost one month done with the holidays. :(
Oh how very sad is that. :'(
Doing something quite nice tomorrow with 4/5 of The Saids tomorrow, though.
You probably wont see it until about 2 posts later hehe. :>
Hope you guys have a great, great rest-of-the-week!

Keep smiling. :)

Du vet jeg elsker deg.

Week 3; HANDYWORK + SAIDSIBLINGS + POPSICLES!. ^^ :)

Hello
No selfie to start off Week 3,
but instead here's one of my favorite tops I've gotten from Cotton On which was on sale. :>
Funny how some people went "You're the last person who can tell another person to not panic" :'D
Hey, I cannot control certain reactions okay.
Especially when I'm shocked or panicking; I'll just scream or make some weird noise hahaha :'D
But, yes, knowing myself, I really needed this as a reminder;
Firstly, to remind myself about my love for donuts.
And secondly, as told by Mark Gorman, "only 8% of our worry will come to ass. 92% of our worry is wasted. DON(U)T PANIC."
I find myself worrying and/or panicking about things way too much, doesn't matter how big or how little the issue is.
And the thing is, I always worry about what others think of me and the things I do..
So much so that sometimes I feel that the things I'm doing are not really what I'd like to do.
It's just me putting others before myself.
Am I wrong for that?

Week 3 has been very Hi! Club involved..
Anyways, took a looong trip to the west one day for a small event at NIE.
Wearing one of my favorite socks, as you can see. :>
Mmm I love Soya Bean.
Funny how after we bought it and saw what it's called and we were just like..
"Happy Boy Soya Bean?!"
LOL how cute.
Our booth was also nicely decorated with these alphabet picture cards!
The inner ECH educator in me really, really liked it hahaha.
Bascially, we went around NIE and taught a few basic signings and spreading deaf awareness.
Such a different environment from NP too though.
There were also other groups of people teaching things like Danish Games and Henna.
At one point, Natha & I were watching people playing the Danish Games..
And we didn't actually realise that they could see us,
So they just attacked us and we had to play the game too :'D
Was quite interesting!
Separated with everyone else after that and headed to another place where we accidentally took the wrong bus and had to take another bus back and then another bus to the right place..
#ThankGodforConcession
Spent the whole train ride back contemplating on whether or not I should get food from the Pasar Malam.
Was pretty hungry since I've only had the Soya Beancurd since morning,
but also am completely not confident with buying stuff from Pasar Malams without my parents.
But did it anyway because FOOD. Hehe.

Somewhere later that week, we had a workshop with Rotaract Club where we taught their members Sign Language. :>
Managed to get myself breakfast, thanks to Kelvin too. :>
I think my side profile is really just weird and unappealing hahaha. :')
Not sure what's so funny though.
Always interesting to teach a new bunch of people! ^^
Myra from Rotaract Club also gave us these Jagabee chips as a thank you. ^^
It was my first time trying these after all this time watching their ads.
And the verdict is...
I TOTALLY LOVED IT!. Hehehe ^^
Had some time to spare so I went ahead and cut the alphabet cards~
While watching ThatcherJoe's Outlast gameplay of course! ^^
Everyone kept asking me if I wanted to use the paper cutter machine thingie.
But I really like to cut things, so I did!
Look at this stack of rainbow-ish cards!
Oh how accomplished I felt after that ^^

Went to watch Step Up for the second time with the Said Siblings that Friday.
In my new favorite jeans and my favorite shirt and my favorite flats! ^^
Of course, I still enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time.
Also liked the fact that I can now focus and watch all the other dancers this time and not just Moose hahaha #ifyouknowwhatimean
:')
We then walked around because I wanted to get Popsicle Moulds..
And then got ourselves some pizzas from the new Pizza spot.
Service wasn't all that good, but there's never a bad pizza, is there? :>

Had a pretty good day with them both, been a while since we spent some time together ^^

For this week,
I made Key Lime Popsicles!
The brother has been bugging me to make these, and it seems like I have succumbed. :')
When I first saw the recipe, I realised that it wasn't the healthiest thing to eat..
Literally whole milk + heavy cream + condensed milk, frozen, and you're eating it.
It's something you wouldn't drink out of a cup, but would lick and eat when frozen.
Humans are just weird.
Didn't regret it though, it was the best-tasting thing ever. ^^
The sharp and tanginess of the lime plus the creaminess of the milk and cream..
Best combination ever! ^^

With that,
I'll see you in Week 4.
:D

Du vet jeg elsker deg.
Goodbye

Week 2; BIRTHDAYS + BROTHERS + FOOD!. ^^ :)

Hey hello
Here is the post for Week 2 (although it's Week 4 now hehehe).
Oh yes, the headband thingy I have on my head was what E-Tien/Daren/Ashley/KianHui made me buy, which I promised to wear the next day..
Which I did and I actually quite like :>

Headed to Al-Azhar for Sam & E-Tien's birthday lunch with the other 10 peeps ^^
Ashley & Ruling were overseas so yeah :(
Had Mee Goreng Pattaya & Bandung.
I was starving so this was a really, really good meal.
Well done, Al-Azhar.
Although you got confused about our orders at one point.
Oh, and you guys have upgraded with the call button thingy! (Y)
Quite glad I've discovered this eating place near school.
It's always a pretty trusty place to head to whenever we can't decide on where to eat.
The food's pretty decent too.
^^
I look so tired. :(

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY YOU TWO!!!
(Dat photobomb tho.)
Really, really glad to have known you both thus far!
Super glad to have had the chance to work with Sam in this journey.
Thank you for staying with us throughout, and just being there for all of us and always bringing us laughter. ^^
Also super glad to have E-Tien to be fangirling over anything/everything with hehe *wink*.
You may not be the best person to be with in awkward situations, but I must admit you are the best person to be awkward with. :')
You also always laugh at my misfortunes and mishaps, but it's okay because I laugh at yours too HAHAHA. :'D
Headed home after that, took a nap, and then these two boys came over.
I was semi-awake when they arrived, so I heard them come in and being all noisy and excited.
Then Uncle Joe went "Why don't you both awake Ana up?" and Afi immediately went "OH YA!!".
So yes, they ran into my room and started making silly tunes and dancing :')
(Ana = Lin = me)
Always in awe towards how they can get so rough and physical with each other,
yet at times when they are just sitting and watching teevee (like in the picture),
you can really see their brotherly sibling bond.
I love it, madly love these two. ^^

Somewhere that week, I also headed out with Mum & Grandma. ^^
Really 've been a while since I went out with Grandma, so it was quite nice.
We actually brought her out to eat waffles.
HEHE.
Oh I also wore a maxi skirt that day. :'D
Along with the red Minnie Mouse ribbon headband thingy which I was liking quite a bit.
And Mum's awesome yellow ballerinas, probably the most comfortable thing I've worn on my feet (which isn't sneakers) since forever. :>
How cute is my Grandma!!! *v*
Kind of assumed that Mum already stopped taking pictures so I just turned away.
O.O :'D
I feel like such a robot when I take full body shots. :/
My half waffle + Cookie Dough Ice Cream!
Gelare is now halal so YEZZAH! ~.~
Also went for some grocery shopping; another one of my favorite things to do. :}
This week's bake consists of Plum Cobbler.
Turned out looking pretty good, but it didn't taste very well. :/
Think I went wrong with the choice/use of butter and flour.
Still would definitely try making it again, though, following the exact recipe.
And using peaches next time.
Because I don't even like plums. :/

Dish of the week has got to be these Potato Balls in soup that Mum made. *v*
Not sure where she got the recipe from,
but they are basically fried mashed potato balls with ground beef inside it,
and you pour a beefy broth over it,
garnished with cucumber strips, peas and Sambal Kicap (SK).
So, so, so good.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I really want some. O.O
Picture is edited by Mum by the way hahaha. :')

YAY we've come to the end of Week 2!
But why do I not feel that happy that another week is done.. :/

Du vet jeg elsker deg.
