Sawadeeka~!.
The Saids went for their first ever vacation out of the country, and further from Malaysia, for four days and three nights to Bangkok~!.
Oooooh, was a super excited + a wee bit anxious as we have literally NEVER went to any other country which speaks a language we do not speak.
But I was probably just longing to sit my behind on an airplane and go on a plane ride for years~
So I was a very happy Lin. ^^
The Dzuls were there so send us off as well, which made me excited times a hundred!.
Look at their super oversized jackets!. Ahahahah!.
Oh Aunty Kay & Wak Lan was there too, managed to take a quick shot together before we "checked in".
(We were rushing lulz.)
And then when we were already in the departure hall (?), we had a little bit of time.
Dad snapped this picture of me and I thought it was pretty well taken!. :)
Outfit of that day.
So, it was a 2hour 20minute journey and guess what I did during the long awaited plane ride?!.
That's right, I slept~!.
Hahahahahaha I got so bored so I slept.
Can you imagine if it was a 12+++ hour ride?. Ahah.
I mean, it was so uncomfortable having your ears kinda blocked and everything sounded kinda bzzz-ful that I just didn't really feel like talking.
Hehe.
So we touched down at about 1220pm and saw these red buses.
Oh and I managed to Tango this babe hahaha we were so excited at seeing each other's faces through a screen :D
Day 1.
They were the ones who drove us to the main building.
Where we grabbed our bags.
And had a little chaotic moment when getting our passports chopped :'D
Fish Inspection Office hahahahahaha soo cute ^^
So so empty.
Iman photobombing. Hahahaha.
We cabbed over to the hotel from the airport and tadaaa Starbucks right in our lobby!.
We stayed at the Grand Diamond Hotel, if you're wondering.
Service and facilities are pretty impressive and satisfying. :)
And the internet was superb hahaha High Speed indeed, it might probably been even better than Wireless@sg :'D
After chilling and stuff, we headed out to Platinum Mall.
Really easy for us as it was just next door and we were just warming up to the surroundings.
Had to grab some lunch.
Found a halal stall at their foodcourt, and of course it was Indian Food.
Watermelon Juice which was yum.
Oh also, when you're in Singapore, you "chope" tables with tissue packets.
Here, a whole box of tissues are given to you at every table.
How you wanna chope now~~
So we walked around the huuuuuuge mall till we thought we were tired enough, and went back to the hotel.
At almost 8pm, we headed out again only to find out that the mall closes at 8 :'((((((
BUT there was the little flea outside so we weren't that upset ahahah.
Dad mentioned something about rain and then it really drizzled :'D
Kinda snapped a picture of them panicking. They were just grabbing everything and throwing them into their bags, and then the drizzling stopped so... :/
We walked and walked and walked and got hungry so we decided on going back and calling for Room Service since they had a halal menu.
Ezt's Chikkin.
Oh and we saw pink eggs. Anyone knows why they're pink?.
Gravy in gravy boats!.
Mum's Banana Fritter + Ice Cream.
Iman's Steak.
My Margherita.
Iman's steak was sooo good I wish I ordered that insteak.
*instead
(lol see what I did there)
I thought I slept real early that night, like it showed 1030pm on my watch.
But then the next day I remembered that the time there was an hour late, so I guess sleeping at 1130 was okay..
Day 2.
Headed down to breakfast the next morning!.
This very omelette was pretty much 80% of all I ate every morning.
(The other 20% would consist of toasted bread with butter and jam, fruits and a whole coconut.)
^ "I've been wondering why there's the rope thingy which stops 3/4 down the building."
"Ohhhh, this one last time got people do bungee jumping, but then it snapped so they just left it there." :'D
Dad snapped these, which are pretty awesome as well. :)
Once you're in the building, you'll get wet. :B
After exploring that level of the hotel, we went into the lift to go back to our room, and the lady working there was with a trolley of flowers.
And almost immediately, Dad asked "Can I take?"
And everyone just paused and O.O for awhile and then he said, "a picture, I mean.".
Hahahahaha.
Level 25~!.
Decided to go over to the Wax Museum, and for experience's sake, we took a Tuk-Tuk!!!.
Yes, the five of us squeezed into one Tuk-Tuk, and poor Dad had to squat the whole journey.
Thank God it wasn't that far. :B
Pretty colored seats!.
I wish I snapped more pictures of the different colored seats they had, the Tuk-Tuks were really colorful, and they were almost customized on their own ahahah.
Levels G 6~
Loook a huge Coke bottle, which also looks like a shape of a Mummy.
Pretty nice view from the 6th floor tho, dontchu think~
Stickets~!.
(Sticker + Tickets)
HERE GOES OUR MADAME TUSSAUDS ADVENTURE~~!.
Dad + Iman + our PM.
Dad + Iman giving speech.
Cool thing is that they were in the teevee!.
So you know I had to try it too.
Family picture with President Obama & the First Lady!.
Love these two pictures, kinda pretty well taken and well posed hahahaha.
I mean, look at Dad!.
Signed in the book thingy, so if you're there, look for us!. :P
Cuz I am of obvious royalty~ :B
And a winner.
Heehee.
^^
I am Featherweight~!.
Pretty cool weighing scale.
Muhammad Ali had naaaaaise kicks. :}
Hahahahahahahahaha love Dad!.
God, I am just half his height. :O
How does one person grow so tall.
Will never not laugh just by looking at this picture, they are in mid-air by the way, LOOK AT IMAN'S LEGS AHAHAHAHAH.
"Fabulous~"
Wheeeeeeeey The Saids~!.
Hahahahahahaha :'D
Bro being creepy.
Madonna had cool props!.
Doraemon!.
My childhood friend. Muwahahaha.
Love this picture of Dad & Jim Carrey haha Dad looks genuinely happy :'D
I'd like these egg seats in my future house please. :}
Darn well snapped picture by the dood working there, so perfectly in the frame (ok almost) and, yeah, really good picture!.
So thank you~~~ :}
Thailand has green fire extingushers!.
Such a pretty green too!.
Was hungry, so we looked for food at Food Republic and found another halal Indian stall.
Mutton Briyani. They had these round-edged utensils it was a little annoying but cool ahah.
The Briyani was good though, besides the fact that it had SO MANY of those seeds that smelled so "Wangi", the rice was pretty spicy and the mutton was tender.
Hehe.
Lololol, almost like they were too lazy to lift up the bowl so they just served it as is.
We went back to Platinum Mall on another Tuk-Tuk to do more shopping, and then went swimming.
Can you spot us?. Dad actually snapped pictures of us from the hotel room window. :'D
The pool was located at the 8th floor so when you're in (or just got out of) the pool, the wind was strong enough to make you feel like freezing.
It was like, when I was standing in the pool, my head was freezing but my body wasn't.
Prolly slept at around the same time I did the day before..
Day 3.
Breakfast yet again, was eggs and toast.
And saw these weird looking eggs.
Realised I was prolly just an inch away from having my head hit the hanging teevee. :D
And, haha looks like I'm getting my head drilled.
Headed to MBK Mall by their meter cab~
The sign to the Prayer Room.
Hahahahaha cant stop laughing at the lady with the "scarf".
AHAHAHAHAH good one!.
We walked and shopped around, got hungry and hunted for Yana Restaurant!.
They had Orang flavored water~~!. :O :O :O Hehehe.
Stirfry Peppercorn Beef.
Mango Salad.
Seafood Tom Yum.
Plain ol' white rice.
Fish & Chips.
With flowers on the coleslaw haha kewl~
My Beef Pad Thai.
Finally tasted Pad Thai, and I must admit it tastes like Char Kway Teow but with chewier noodles.
I was satisfied tho!. :)
And my Thai Iced Milk Tea which was good.
And Iman's Soda Water which was odd.
After much walking around and shopping, we headed back to Platinum.
I realized they have wires ALL OVER the place unlike in Singapore where you don't see them at all.
The wires there are like rolled up and tangled among each other..the person who has to cut them or whatever would really have a hard time I suppose. :/ :'D
Dad snapped these lol. I was asking them to take pictures of me and he just walked around snapping picutres with D3K.
Went to the flea again that evening, and just wore pants we bought earlier that day.
Super comfy and airy ahahah.
Keychain thingie bajingies~
Finally got the Starbucks from the lobby!.
And for some reason the babe at the cashier asked where I was from ahah.
We also managed to Tango these two cuties!!
Totally hogging the camera.
Dzulkurry's plant.
Hahahahah cuteness!.
The Saids family photo for memories. :}
(Ezt & I's pose are kinda an inside joke.)
Prolly my favorite buy which I don't feel like using for ever hahaha, a bag with my name kind of "engraved" and pasted on!. :)
Oh, did I mention bathtub-ing every single evening/night?.
So so heavenly, I loooooove the bathtub.
Day 4.
Home day :(
Checked out and headed to Platinum again as we had some time to waste.
So we tried out their Ice Kacang.
Lol, shaved ice + (coconut?) milk + whatever toppings you want.
Briyani again.
Samosas?.
Not sure what these are, but lol they look like fat mini wizard hats~!.
*Walks into toilet*
Lin: Do you think the sign means "do not sit"?.
Ezt: Nah, I think it means "be careful when you sit here".
Lin: Oh ok then.
*Both sits on the thingy*
Hahahahaha :D
Anyone who knows what it means, do tell me though ahah :B
Got a green cabbie to the airport~!.
"Ask you to be happy." Heheheh.
Also, the little scary moment when your cab is kinda stuck at a traffic jam in the middle of a railway track ahahah :'D
The man behind the finger hahahaha :D
Matching Iron Bears!.
Oh did I mention Iman pushing me on the trolley hahaha was so fun, I now know why kids love it. :'D
They played Parkour videos on the teevees!.
Yaaay Jenx!.
And had these kewl interactive thingies where the snows move as you touch it!.
Gate 21.
Hahahahahahahahaha.
Kinda don't understand how one could stay in a room filled with smoke and the smell of it.
I could probably suffocate to my death just by sitting in a room full of it for a few minutes.
Ha. :/
While sitting down at Gate 21, we then heard an announcement where our gate was changed to 26.
So we walked all the way there and then a few minutes later..
Another announcement where our gate was changed to Gate 22.
:'D
What a troll~
Papa snapped these lol.
Were hungry so we bought these.
So we finally went on board and we flew and flew and flew and landed at exactly..
:D
I tried.
We then grabbed our bags and walked out..
Seeing familiar faces!.
Yaaaaaaay!!!.
Lin: Dzul, look here.
Azul: *Makes face*
Hahaha!.
Went for late dinner with them, and then we all went our separate ways.
Waited for our "big taxi"~
My eyes were just..
And with that...I bid my vacation goodbye. :')
Oh, here's the best I could come up with for a night flight's view upon arriving Changi Airport.
So so pretty I could stare at it forever. :')
Hope you've been entertained reading this post as much as I had fun in the four days.
The end of me posting this post of my vacation also marks the end of my 6-month post O-Levels vacation. :(
Will not be having anymore vacations THAT long.
I will miss you holidays :'(
Cant wait for the next one.
Till then.
Kop khun kaap, พบกันไหม่.
