February 2018. I planned for a rather impromptu Birthday trip to Penang with my folks!
Penang is an island (Pulau Pinang), part of Malaysia.
It has a lot of Peranakan/Baba/British history, and I really enjoyed viewing the houses.

All the flooring designs are super pretty too.
Below are pictures of the house in which P. Ramlee was born and grew up in.
I had no idea he was born in Penang!

It's really just a small and cozy 1-room, 1-kitchen kampung house.

I actually think that the kitchen is bigger than the room.

Man I really loved this swing.
We had Nasi Kandar at Deen Maju.
It does not look like the most appetising dish but it is super duper tasty!!!
I just pointed at random things because they all looked very similar to be honest, but this was soo tasty I kind of regret having it only once. :|

The hotel staff recommended eating at Bora Bora (Restaurant), and I'm surprised we actually managed to find it.
This was at Batu Ferringhi - the Grab driver dropped us off at a random spot so we had to ask around heh.

Okay now get ready for all the Assam Laksa.
